Awareness programme on IPR and entrepreneurship held at St. Joseph’s Degree College in Kurnool

St. Joseph’s Degree College in Kurnool hosted an awareness program on Intellectual Property Rights and entrepreneurship. The session, supported by the Ministry of MSME, aimed to educate students on patenting innovations and commercializing ideas.

An awareness programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and entrepreneurship was organised at St. Joseph’s Degree College, Kurnool, in collaboration with IIITDM Kurnool, with the support of the A.P. MSME Development Corporation, under the RAMP Scheme of the Union Ministry of MSME.
The BITS Pilani-Hyderabad IPR Manager, Radhika Vangala, who was the resource person, delivered an informative session on IPR, particularly patents and trademarks, and highlighted the importance of protecting innovations and exploring their commercialisation potential.
The programme created awareness on entrepreneurship, IPR protection, and various government support mechanisms available for entrepreneurs and MSMEs under the RAMP initiative. The sessions encouraged participants to develop innovative ideas and explore entrepreneurship opportunities.
