For the Australians, their focus will be on drawing the series 1-1. Bangladesh, on the other hand, will look to create history by winning the Test series 2-0.
In the race to the 2027 World Test Championship (WTC) final , Australia still maintain their number one position but have dropped their points percentage from 87.50% to 77.78% while Bangladesh now occupy the number four spot at 66.67%.
This means that South Africa and New Zealand are closing in on Australia's place in the finals and the Australians cannot afford another slip up.
