MANILA, Philippines - Guest team Southern Storm Melbourne showed resilience in coming back from huge deficits throughout the whole match to frustrate Letran, 26-24, 25-21, 25-19, for a great start in the 2026 Shakey's Collegiate National Invitationals yesterday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
In the second game, University of Santo Tomas cruised past Enderun Colleges, 25-18, 25-17, 25-13, to set its title bid in motion.
Down by six early in the third set, the Australians pushed back with a blistering 19-7 rally to complete the sweep for a loud introduction in the competition backed by Shakey's Pizza Parlor, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, Potato Corner, and R and B Milk Tea.
