Atorvastatin reduces major cardiovascular events but misses disability-free survival goal
A study presented at the ESC Congress 2026 found that Atorvastatin significantly reduces major cardiovascular events in older adults without prior history of heart disease or dementia. However, the drug did not show a statistically significant improvement in disability-free survival rates.
