NEW DELHI: Deceased gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s son Abaan was killed on Thursday after his speeding car collided with a divider in Jhansi.His friend Sonu also died in the accident, the Jhansi SSP confirmed. According to police, all five occupants were travelling in a Hyundai Creta from Prayagraj towards Jhansi when the accident took place.The accident comes years after a series of violent incidents involving members of Atiq Ahmed’s family, including the deaths of his son Asad Ahmed, brother and Atiq himself.Asad killed in UP STF encounterOn April 13, 2023, Atiq Ahmed’s 19-year-old son Asad Ahmed and his alleged associate Ghulam were killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) near Jhansi.Both Asad and Ghulam carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh each.
