Astronomers find biggest super-puff planets yet that are lighter than cotton candy - AP News
Astronomers have discovered two giant exoplanets that are exceptionally low in density, described as being lighter than cotton candy. These 'super-puff' planets orbit a star 1,110 light-years away and are primarily composed of hydrogen and helium.
Why it matters
The discovery challenges existing models of planetary formation and provides new data for atmospheric study.
