Associations between early regulatory problems and long-term neurobiological and psychosocial outcomes

A study using data from the Bavarian Longitudinal Study found that early regulatory problems in infants, such as crying or sleeping issues, are linked to morphological differences in the left insula in adulthood. These neurobiological changes correlate with avoidant personality traits later in life.
