A Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Tribes of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is scheduled to visit Visakhapatnam district on August 6, In-charge Collector Gobbilla Vidyadhari has said. The visit will include an inspection of Tribal Welfare Hostels and review meetings with officials of various departments.

According to the schedule, the committee will inspect tribal welfare hostels at 9 a.m., followed by an interaction with representatives of Scheduled Tribe welfare associations and the public at the Collectorate at 11 a.m. to receive grievances.

At noon, the panel will review the implementation of the ST employees’ roster across departments in the district. All heads of departments have been directed to be present with their roster registers.
