Assam headmistress to be conferred National Award by President
Manisha Khetrapal, headmistress of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya in Assam, will receive the 2026 National Teachers’ Award. She is recognized for her contributions to inclusive education and her role in implementing the National Education Policy-2020.

Manisha Khetrapal, headmistress of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, NFR Rangiya, Assam, will be awarded the National Teachers’ Award, 2026, for her innovation and contribution in strengthening Foundational and Preparatory Stages towards the rollout of the National Education Policy-2020. Before heading KV NFR Rangiya, Dr. Khetrapal worked for eight years at Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Guwahati, where she initiated Project DivyaMitra, a step towards meaningful inclusion, in collaboration with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation Of India (ALIMCO).
