ASR district gets its first Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Paderu

The Alluri Sitharama Raju district has inaugurated its first Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Paderu to improve access to identification services for tribal residents. The center aims to reduce the need for long-distance travel to resolve technical errors and update personal details.
Why it matters
Improving access to digital identity services is crucial for marginalized populations to participate in government welfare schemes and financial systems.
Alluri Sitharama Raju district got it’s first ‘Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ at Nakkalaputtu village in Paderu mandal on Friday, to improve Aadhaar-related services for tribal people and residents in remote areas.
District Joint Collector T. Sri Pooja inaugurated the centre in the presence of officials from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and the newly appointed staff.
She said that the centre would help residents access Aadhaar services more easily. It would particularly benefit tribal people who have to travel long distances to get their Aadhaar details corrected or update their Aadhaar details. Errors in names, dates of birth, age and parent’s details, besides other technical issues, have made it difficult for many residents to access essential services, she said.
