Ashok seeks CBI or judicial probe into KPSC ‘irregularities’
Opposition leader R. Ashok has demanded an independent CBI or judicial inquiry into alleged bribery irregularities within the Karnataka Public Service Commission's recruitment process. He argues that an internal inquiry is insufficient given the severity of the corruption allegations.

Opposition Leader R. Ashok has demanded that the internal inquiry ordered by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) into the appointment of veterinary officers be cancelled immediately, and that the case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or a judicial inquiry headed by a sitting judge of the Karnataka High Court.
Mr. Ashok has written a letter to the Chairman of the KPSC in this regard. Accompanied by Legislative Council Opposition Leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy and former Minister Suresh Kumar, he visited the commission and discussed the matter with the Chairman and Secretary.
