ASEAN-UK trade reaches $82 bn in 2025 as economic ties deepen

In a joint media statement marking the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-UK Dialogue Partnership in 2026, ASEAN and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland said total trade in goods and services between the UK and ASEAN reached 62.0 billion (~$82.7 billion) in 2025, up 17.4 per cent, or 9.2 billion (~$12.3 billion), in current prices from 2024.

Citing ASEAN preliminary statistics, the statement said foreign direct investment from the UK was recorded at $9.1 billion in 2025, making the UK the sixth-largest source of FDI inflows to ASEAN that year.
