ASEAN climate focus on power grid, finance and resilience
Singapore's Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu, has identified regional power grid integration and climate finance as key priorities for ASEAN. The initiative follows survey data showing that Southeast Asian populations are increasingly concerned about the economic impacts of climate change.

Speaking at an event where a survey of South-east Asian perceptions on climate change was released, she said that Singapore will, during its chairmanship of ASEAN in 2027, prioritise practical cooperation on these issues.
The South-east Asia Climate Outlook Survey 2026 is a biennial survey that aims to gauge regional attitudes towards climate change.
