Arya Vysya leaders seek more seats in local body polls
Leaders from the Arya Vysya community are lobbying political parties to increase seat allocations for their members in upcoming local body elections. They have launched a political forum to encourage youth participation and community representation in the political process.

Former MLAs Ambika Krishna and Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy have urged political parties to allocate more seats to leaders from the Arya Vysya community in the ensuing local body elections, claiming that the population of the community is more than 20 lakh in the State.
At a meeting organised in Vizianagaram on Tuesday, they felicitated Arya Vysya Mahasabha State president Illuri Lakshmaiah and the new district president Bandaru Chandra Sekhar, general secretary Ravva Venkatesh and treasurer Gudisha Balakrishna.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Krishna said that he had launched the Arya Vysya Political Force to enable youth from the community to enter politics. He said that representatives of all political parties could join the forum and work for the welfare of the society, and the community.
