Arvind Kejriwal re-elected AAP national convener

The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national council on Wednesday re-elected Arvind Kejriwal as the party’s national convener, the highest post in AAP, the party said in a statement. The party’s 15th national council meeting was held on Wednesday under his chairmanship and a total of 330 members participated. "During the meeting, a new 23-member national executive was constituted. Arvind Kejriwal has once again been unanimously elected as AAP’s national convener. Pankaj Gupta has been elected as the national secretary, while N. D. Gupta will continue as the national treasurer," the statement said. In 2021 January, AAP’s national council had amended the party’s constitution to remove a clause which allowed Mr. Kejriwal to continue as the national convener.
