Artists, writers pay tribute to Vaddadi Papayya on his birth anniversary

To mark the birth anniversary of artist Vaddadi Papayya (Vapa), an event was held at the Visakhapatnam Public Library on Thursday (September 10). Eminent artists, writers and journalists recalled his contribution to the field of art.
Saubhagya Gajapathi Trust, led by PVSV Prasad organised the event. Speakers paid tributes to the legendary artist and recalled his style and versatility.
Vapa’s associate Chalapathi Rao said that Vaddadi Papayya’s paintings, which earned appreciation across the world, would continue to remain timeless. He said Vapa had demonstrated his mastery not only in painting but also in several other creative forms, leaving behind a rich legacy that continues to influence artists.
