Artisans from across India showcase crafts at Gandhi Shilp Bazaar in Vijayawada till October 18

The Gandhi Shilp Bazaar exhibition is being held in Vijayawada from October 9 to October 18, featuring traditional crafts from across India. The event is supported by the Ministry of Textiles to promote artisans and traditional handloom products.

Special Chief Secretary, Handlooms and Textiles, R.P. Sisodia will attend the inauguration of Gandhi Shilp Bazaar, a 10-day exhibition at the Maris Stella indoor stadium, on Friday (October 9, 2026).
Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Vice-Chairman and Managing Director M. Viswa said the event was being organised with the support of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles. The exhibition will bring together around 70 artisans and craftsmen from across the country.
Visitors can buy traditional handicrafts and handloom products directly from the artisans, he said, adding that the bazaar will feature Kondapalli and Etikoppaka toys, Kalamkari, wood carvings, terracotta, crochet lace and leather puppets, besides several other traditional crafts.
