Art against addiction: New mural in Byappanahalli addresses drug issue
The Rotary E-Club of Bangalore has collaborated with local police and artists to create a mural in Byappanahalli aimed at raising awareness about drug abuse. This project, titled 'Talking Walls,' uses visual art to communicate social messages to the public in a more approachable way than traditional advertising.

It highlights the use of public art as a community-driven tool for social awareness and crime prevention in urban environments.
It began with a tour through an alley in the vibrant city of Ghent, Belgium, a few years ago.
Nivedita Dutt, a director at the Rotary E-Club of Bangalore, the first Internet-based Rotary Club in Karnataka, was visiting her son there when she encountered that “alley full of graffiti on both sides. And it was fabulous,” she remembers. “Coming back to India, it struck me that we could also do a similar sort of thing.”
