Officials in Visakhapatnam are reviewing arrangements for the Chief Minister's visit on September 19, during which 26,426 beneficiaries will receive house-site pattas and conveyance deeds. The visit will also include the launch of a 'Swarna Andhra-Swachh Andhra' program and the 'Nirmal Sagar' pilot project.
Why it matters
This event highlights a significant government initiative to provide housing and promote environmental cleanliness in Visakhapatnam, directly impacting thousands of citizens and potentially improving local infrastructure and living conditions.
District in-charge Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and MP M. Sribharat on Tuesday (September 15, 2026) asked officials and public representatives to coordinate for the successful conduct of the Chief Minister’s programmes in Visakhapatnam on September 19.
Participating virtually in a review meeting chaired by Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore, the Minister and the MP gave directions on the arrangements. They stressed the need to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries received house-site pattas from the Chief Minister. Officials were asked to identify beneficiaries from each constituency, issue invitations in advance and inform them of their designated galleries and routes to the venue.
The Collector said 26,426 beneficiaries had been identified for the distribution of house-site pattas and conveyance deeds across seven Assembly constituencies. The programme will be held at the Andhra University College of Engineering grounds.
