Hyderabad Police deployed around 2,000 personnel and intensified surveillance along the route for the Golconda Jagadambika Bonalu celebrations that began on Thursday.
Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar inspected the security and bandobust arrangements from the foothills to the top of the Golconda fort on the occasion of the presentation of the first Bonam.
The police have deployed special contingents along the entire stretch from Langar Houz X Roads to the temple. Drone cameras and a large number of CCTV cameras are being used for round-the-clock surveillance, while the Crime Wing has stepped up vigilance to prevent property offences, including pickpocketing and chain snatching.
