Tolu Arokodare continued his push for a Super Eagles recall with his fifth goal of the season, but it was not enough to prevent Ajax from losing 3-1 to PSV in the Eredivisie at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
PSV took the lead inside four minutes when Ivan Perisic’s deep cross was headed across by Ruben van Bommel for Ricardo Pepi to nod in from close range, the third successive Eredivisie meeting in which PSV have scored inside the opening 10 minutes.
Arokodare, on loan from Wolves and enjoying a strong start to his Ajax career, levelled in the 23rd minute with a low effort that bounced in off the far corner, extending his scoring run to four straight matches for the Dutch club.
