SUN CITY, AZ (AZFamily) — A Democratic candidate for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District reported that she was knocked unconscious and sexually assaulted by two men while fixing campaign signs in Sun City nearly two months ago, according to a police report obtained by Arizona’s Family.
The report states that Bernadette Greene-Placentia was fixing campaign signs near 99th Avenue and Bell Road in Sun City on Aug. 14. While walking back to her vehicle, she was hit in the head and knocked unconscious, the report states.
Greene-Placentia said when she woke up, she was being held down and sexually assaulted by a man. She reported that another man then sexually assaulted her while she fought back by kicking her feet.
During the assault, Greene-Placentia said she recalls one of the men saying “Democratic b---h,” the report states.
