Arch Manning apologizes for "insensitive comment" about AI video from Saturday's game

Saturday was a good day for Texas quarterback Arch Manning. Monday was not. On Tuesday, he moved to rectify an unforced error.

Via ESPN, Manning apologized for making an “ insensitive comment ” about an AI video that showed Texas coach Steve Sarkisian violently slapping ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe.

At a Monday press conference, Manning was asked if he’d seen any fan clips from the comeback win over Ohio State.

“I’ve seen a few AI edits of stuff , but that’s about it,” Manning said. “I saw an AI edit of Sark’s interview. Have y’all seen that one? That’s a good one. Of him slapping Holly Rowe? It’s hilarious.”

The remark sparked a backlash, given the jarring video of Sarkisian hitting Rowe.

Manning posted his apology on social media.
