The Aranmula Uthrattathi boat race stands as a timeless symbol of Keralam’s rich cultural heritage, deep devotion, and enduring traditions, Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan said while inaugurating the event at Aranmula on Sunday.
He added that the town itself is named after the ancient Parthasarathy temple, which boasts a heritage spanning nearly 1,800 years, and is equally famed as the birthplace of the Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged Aranmula Kannadi (metal mirror).
