Sivaganga police arrested an Arabic school teacher on charges of sexually harassing a young girl here on Wednesday.
An Arabic school operates near Sakkottai in Sivaganga district. Ansari, 27, a native of Thondi in Ramanathapuram district, had been working there as a teacher for the past four years. In this situation, Ansari repeatedly sexually harassed a six-year-old girl studying there.
Following this, based on a complaint lodged by the girl’s mother, the Sakkottai police registered a case under the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested Ansari.
