APSRTC readies green transport ahead of Bhogapuram airport inauguration

The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is set to bolster public transportation connectivity to the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport with the introduction of 20 new electric buses, scheduled to be inaugurated on August 1.
Regional Manager of APSRTC, Visakhapatnam, B. Appala Naidu, announced that preparations for the launch are in the final stages. While seven electric buses have already arrived in the city, the remaining 13 are expected to be delivered by July 25. The fleet is slated to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu during the formal inauguration ceremony of the airport.
To ensure efficient passenger transit, the corporation has finalised two dedicated corridors. Ten buses will operate along the Gajuwaka–NAD–Bhogapuram route, while another 10 will ply between Scindia, Railway Station, Rushikonda, and Bhogapuram.
