APSRTC MD calls for quality maintenance, revenue growth

Department of Transport Secretary and Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Kona Sasidhar on Saturday directed officials to accord top priority to quality maintenance of buses, fleet availability, efficient utilisation of resources, expenditure control and revenue enhancement.
Addressing a review meeting with executive directors and heads of departments at RTC House, Mr. Sasidhar called for regular assessment of passenger facilities and services at bus stations and corrective measures to make them more convenient and passenger-friendly. He stressed that employee welfare should receive equal attention.
Officials made presentations on the activities, performance, statistics, progress, revenue sources and other operational and administrative matters of their respective departments.
