PETALING JAYA: A DAP assemblyman has sounded the alarm over recent amendments to Johor and Melaka's constitutions to pave the way for appointed representatives in their legislatures.
Tebing Tinggi assemblyman Aziz Bari said this was a strange development in the modern world, maintaining that members of legislative assemblies should be democratically elected, not appointed.
