Apple 'Surprise and Shine' event on September 9: Here's what to expect
Apple has scheduled its annual product launch event for September 9, featuring a rumored foldable iPhone and updates to the iPhone 18 Pro line. This event marks a leadership transition as John Ternus takes over operations from Tim Cook.
Why it matters
As one of the world's most valuable companies, Apple's product roadmap and leadership changes significantly influence global consumer electronics trends and market valuations.
Apple has confirmed September 9 for its annual iPhone launch, and the invite sent out on Wednesday uses the tagline "Surprise and shine." The keynote starts at 10am Pacific, which is 10.30pm IST, and will stream from the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park via Apple's site, YouTube and the Apple TV app.Two things separate this from the usual September routine. It is the first Apple event with John Ternus running the company, since Tim Cook hands over the CEO title on September 1 and becomes executive chairman. The rumoured product list is also unusually long.
