Apple Security Research Device

Apple has opened applications for its Security Research Device (SRD) program, which provides vetted researchers with specialized, unlocked iPhones. These devices allow for deep-level iOS security testing and vulnerability discovery in exchange for reporting findings to Apple.
Why it matters
This program is a critical component of Apple's bug bounty ecosystem, helping the company identify and patch vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
iPhone is the world's most secure consumer mobile device, which can make it challenging for even skilled security researchers to get started. We created the Apple Security Research Device Program to help new and experienced researchers accelerate their work with iOS.
Now accepting applications through October 30, 2026. Apply below.
