Apple Reportedly Announcing New MacBook Pro With OLED Touchscreen on Wednesday

Apple is reportedly set to announce new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring OLED touchscreens and M5 series chips. The devices will introduce a dynamic touch interface within macOS and are expected to carry a higher price point than current models.
Why it matters
This represents a significant shift in Apple's hardware design, integrating touch-input into the professional laptop lineup for the first time.
Apple plans to unveil 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touch-enabled OLED displays on Wednesday, October 28, according to Bloomberg 's Mark Gurman. Those invited to Apple's "Pro and tell" experience in Los Angeles at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on that day will likely receive hands-on time with the laptops after they are announced in a press release.
In his Power On newsletter today , Gurman reiterated that these MacBook Pro models will look similar to the current models, but weigh less and feature a Dynamic Island instead of a notch at the top of the screen. He previously reported that the laptops will be powered by Apple's existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips released back in March.
