Apple iPhone Duo Review: Is It Worth It?

Apple's first folding smartphone, the iPhone Duo, offers polished hardware and a mature folding mechanism compared to early Android competitors. While app optimization is still a work in progress, major third-party apps are quickly updating to support the large folding screen.
Why it matters
Apple's entry into the foldable phone market represents a major validation of the form factor and is expected to drive broader software optimization and hardware adoption across the industry.
WIRED Polished hardware with a graceful hinge. Nanotexture finish cleverly hides the crease. Makes multitasking easy. Fun camera features to make use of the multiple screens. Reliable battery life. TIRED Heavy. Some multitasking elements are too rigid. Lots of apps aren't optimized (yet). It's a little hard to review the iPhone Duo. I've been toting Apple's first folding smartphone for the past week, and several apps I've tried to open on the sprawling 7.6-inch screen look awful. Thick, black bars on the sides, with a phone-sized app in the middle of this tablet-like display. But you likely won't encounter this problem once the Duo is in your hands.
