APM says Tinubu lacks blueprint to tackle Nigeria’s insecurity

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has accused President Bola Tinubu of lacking the capacity to develop a “blueprint” capable of addressing insecurity and other challenges confronting Nigeria. Abubakar Yusuf, national publicity secretary of the APM, asserted in a statement issued on Saturday that Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State and the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 election, has the “blueprint” needed to tackle the country’s security challenges. Yusuf said Nigeria could not afford another four years under what he described as the “incompetent” administration of Tinubu. The APM spokesperson also criticised Christopher Musa, Minister of Defence, over his recent claim that the country’s security situation had improved. Musa, speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Thursday, said terrorist attacks were no longer rampant and that troops were now moving into terrorists’ hideouts to rescue victims.
