The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Committee (APJAC) Amaravati has announced a phased agitation programme from August 31, demanding that the State government resolve 29 pending issues concerning government employees, including appointment of a new Pay Revision Commission, declaration of Interim Relief, release of pending Dearness Allowance, and settlement of long-pending financial dues.
The decision was taken at a State-level conference of the APJAC Amaravati here on Friday.
APJAC Amaravati chairman Boppuraju Venkateswarlu said employees had repeatedly submitted representations and held discussions with the government, but alleged that there had been delays in resolving their issues.
The agitation programme had been finalised after consultations with the district-level leadership across the State. “The State leadership will implement the decisions taken democratically by the district units,” he said, adding that the organisation was prepared to intensify its struggle if the demands remained unresolved.
