Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APCPDCL) CMD P. Pullareddy on Tuesday (September 8, 2026) announced that Ganesh pandal organisers can avail themselves of temporary electricity connections for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival at ₹1,000 for 500 watts and ₹2,250 for 1,000 watts, with supply available until September 26.

An application fee of ₹100 will be charged for the temporary connections, which can be obtained through Swarna Gram/Ward Secretariats, MeeSeva centres, and the APCPDCL website, he said.

Mr. Pullareddy simultaneously cautioned organisers against unauthorised electricity connections and stressed that electrical safety should be given top priority at the pandals. He warned that cases would be registered and action taken according to the rules if illegal connections or power usage were detected.
