The All Progressives Congress (APC) says the inability of opposition political parties to meet the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) deadline for submitting candidates for the 2027 elections shows they are unprepared to govern.
The ruling party said it successfully uploaded the particulars of all its presidential, vice-presidential, senate and house of representatives candidates before the July 11 deadline.
On Sunday, INEC extended the deadline for the submission of candidates for the 2027 presidential and national assembly elections from July 11 to July 14.
The commission said the decision followed an appeal by the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) on behalf of political parties that were unable to complete the upload of their candidates’ details within the stipulated timeframe.
