The council described Obi’s claim as a “troubling display of delusion” and accused the former Anambra State governor of making unsubstantiated allegations and disregarding facts.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has attacked the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, Peter Obi, over his claim that he won the election despite admitting that he has no evidence to prove it.
The APC council, in a statement issued on Friday by its spokesman, Dele Alake, was reacting to comments made by Obi during a recent interview with the BBC.
Obi had reportedly said, “I don’t like going back to the past. I won the last election. There is no evidence, but I won the election. Everything is not based on evidence.”
