AP government to set up fire station in each constituency: Minister
The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to establish a fire station in every Assembly constituency, said State Home and Disaster Management Minister Vangalapudi Anitha on Friday.
After inaugurating several development works along with Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar in Addanki town, in Prakasam district she said: “After the Alliance government came to power, we have opened several new fire stations across the State. We have also increased the number of fire tender vehicles to reduce the response time to 10-15 minutes. With the financial support of ₹210 crore from the Centre, the State has already spent ₹110 crore to purchase fire equipment and vehicles.”
