KAJANG: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has written to Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto regarding the Federal Land Development Authority's (Felda) RM2.3 billion investment in Indonesian palm oil firm Eagle High Plantations TPK (EHP).
Anwar said the EHP case was an example of a failed investment costing billions that should not be repeated, noting that an arbitration award in Felda's favour remains on hold in the Indonesian courts.
"I have already written a letter to president Prabowo asking him to look into this issue.
"If we do not handle this well, we stand to lose RM2.5 billion. We might be able to recover only RM200 million," he said at a Felda event.
