The longtime UFC analyst and one-time UFC title challenger was arrested Monday night by Nebraska authorities, TMZ first reported Tuesday. Smith, 38, was booked in Sarpy County Jail and faces three potential felony charges for terroristic threats, first-degree false imprisonment and domestic violence causing serious bodily injury.
Smith was released from custody Wednesday morning after posting a $500,000 bond. Per TMZ , as a condition of his bond, the UFC veteran is barred from any contact with his wife and is prohibited from leaving the state of Nebraska without a judge's permission.
At the time of this writing, it is unclear what led to Smith's arrest.
The combined weight of Smith's three charges, if convicted, carries a potential sentence of more than 20 years in prison.
