ANTF police team seize ambergris from a house in Nerkundram

Officials of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) seized ganja and ambergris, a banned substance, from a house in Nerkundram on Saturday.
A senior official of the city police said a team of the T. Nagar ANTF unit received a tip-off that Kamalakannan, a petrol bunk employee was hoarding and selling ganja at his residence. Acting on the information, a team led by ANTF Sub-Inspector Madhavan conducted a raid at his house. During the search operation, the police team seized more than 9 kg of ganja. The team also found ambergris, the whale vomit whose sale is banned, kept hidden.
