While her character in the new movie Verity made a fake appearance on the Sean Evans -hosted series Hot Ones , the Oscar winner—who is currently expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman —revealed that she wasn’t able to do the same in real life due to her doctor’s orders.
“I thought that I was gonna be able to do the Hot Ones challenge to do press for this film because it just made sense,” Hathaway —who plays bestselling author Verity Crawford in the Colleen Hoover adaptation— explained during an interview with Talk Of The Townsends posted to Instagram Sept. 25. “But then I got pregnant and my doctor said I couldn't do it because I might go into early labor.”
And although she ate a few of the actual wings while filming Verity , she has yet to fully complete Hot Ones ’ spicy chicken challenge.
