The People’s Poet said it is shameful that wild animals are safer in game reserves than women are in their own communities.
His powerful words come as Mzansi women live in fear following the discovery of eight women’s bodies in Ekurhuleni.
What has really happened now? Women are being killed and raped, and the sad truth is that animals are now safe in game reserves, but our beloved women are not safe in our own country.
He said the problem goes deeper than physical violence – women are also degraded in the media.
