Animal Day a resounding success for Animal Care Team

OUDTSHOORN NEWS Animal Care Team (ACT) is delighted with the overwhelming success of its Animal Day, held on Saturday 5 September.
The event brought together animal lovers, families, local businesses, stallholders and members of the community for a fun-filled day dedicated to supporting animals and promoting animal welfare.
One of the highlights of the day was the range of essential animal care services made available to pet owners. A total of 150 dogs received rabies vaccinations, six dogs were microchipped, 56 animals were vaccinated and 74 animals were dewormed.
Twelve volunteers contributed their time and efforts to the event, while more than 50 stallholders showcased their products and services. Numerous prizes were also won throughout the day.
Animals were treated to flea and tick dips, while grooming services provided plenty of pampering. Many dogs enjoyed being thoroughly groomed and left looking and feeling their best.
