BHADOHI: A man allegedly assaulted his wife after getting angry over being served potato curry for dinner, biting her at several places on her body and repeatedly hitting her head with a stone, leaving her critically injured, police said on Thursday.The incident took place in Domampur village under Chauri police station limits on the evening of October 12, according to news agency PTI.Police registered a case against the accused, Om Prakash Vishwakarma, following a complaint lodged by his wife, Preeti Vishwakarma (40).Circle Officer Rajiv Kumar Singh said the assault left Preeti critically injured and unconscious.According to the officer, Om Prakash asked his wife for food that evening. When she served him potato curry, he questioned why she had prepared the dish.
