The Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of the Conception of Muxima has concluded its tour of parishes in Angola’s Archdiocese of Luanda and departed for the Diocese of Viana , with Archbishop Filomeno do Nascimento Vieira Dias urging Catholics to imitate Mary’s faith, humility, obedience and service.
Archbishop Dias made the call during Holy Mass marking the conclusion of the image’s visit to Luanda Archdiocese at Holy Family Parish on Monday, August 17.
The celebration was part of preparations for the September 4–5 annual pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Conception of Muxima , locally known as Mamã Muxima (Mother of the Heart).
In his homily, the Angolan Catholic Archbishop presented the Blessed Virgin Mary as a model of complete surrender to God’s will and a continuing example for Christians.
