Angels would expand $25.7B portfolio

Hear this story Stan Kroenke has slowly assembled a professional sports empire.
On Sept. 1, America’s largest private landowner agreed to buy Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Angels from longtime owner Arte Moreno in a deal valuing the franchise at $4 billion.
If the purchase is approved by MLB, it would give Kroenke control of a team in each of the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB — making him the first owner to do so .
Kroenke also owns several soccer teams, including Arsenal in the English Premier League and the Colorado Rapids in MLS, as well as the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League.
Using the most recent Forbes valuations available and including Forbes’ $2.8 billion Angels valuation, Kroenke’s sports portfolio would total $25.7 billion. That’s a total valuation above other sports magnates, such as Josh Harris and the Glazer family.
