Andy Murray gives his take on influencers at tennis events after US Open controversy

Tennis-wise, the 2026 US Open was a success, with the tournament offering a number of thrilling matches, Carlos Alcaraz's eagerly anticipated comeback, as well as Serena Williams' return to Flushing Meadows after four years.
But the tournament's decision to provide 100 so-called influencers with accreditation is one that caused plenty of controversy among fans.
Matches at this year's US Open were interrupted by some taking photographs with bright lighting, and others making far too much noise in the middle of play. In response, Wimbledon has since announced that they will not allow an influx of influencers to the 2027 edition of the Championships and will ban items such as ring lights.
