Andhra State Carrom tournament kicks off in Nellore

Andhra State 1st Ranking Carrom Tournament–2026 (Men & Women) has commenced at Nellore Club in Nellore on Friday (July 31, 2026). MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy inaugurated the event and made the ceremonial opening strike on the carrom board.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA said that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is giving high priority to the development of sports and is providing cash incentives of up to ₹10 lakh to outstanding sportspersons.
He encouraged the players to make the best use of these opportunities and bring laurels to the State at the national and international levels. Under the supervision of the Andhra State Carrom Association (ASCA), District Carrom Association is organising the three-day championship.
