Andhra Pradesh to hold School Management Committee elections on September 29

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has scheduled elections for the reconstitution of School Management Committees (SMCs) in all schools across the State on September 29, 2026.
The elections will be conducted in accordance with the SMC Guidelines–2026 issued by the Government of India and supervised by the School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha, State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao, said in a statement on Tuesday.
The election notification for SMC members, chairperson and vice-chairperson will be issued at 10 a.m. on September 15. The voter list will be displayed at schools at 2 p.m. on September 18. Objections to the voter list will be received and disposed of from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on September 25. The final voter list will be displayed from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., the statement said.
